Weird Word of the Week

SPF: (abbreviation for Stupid Person Factor) a rating system for gauging conversational stupidity.

Example sentence:

“When gauging SPF levels, I find it helpful to adhere to the following guidelines: SPF 5: anything said by a person wearing sweatpants in public, SPF 10: anything said by Shaquille O’Neal, SPF 15: anything said by a person who addresses other people with the phrase “y’all” (Paula Deen included), SPF 20: anything said by a politician (George W. Bush excluded: that guy’s on a whole different rating scale!), SPF 30: anything said by a person who prefaces his speech with a personal identity statement and then quickly contradicts this statement with a conjunction (for example, “I’m not a racist, but…”), SPF 40: all discussions of the George Zimmerman verdict, SPF 60: “YOLO”.
