Scott Navicky reads from Humboldt, or The Power of Positive Thinking in New Orleans (I)

Here’s the first installment of me reading on-location in New Orleans. In this video, I’m riding the Canal streetcar to City Park. The specific streetcar imagery that I describe in the passage comes from Robert Frank’s 1955 photograph Trolley – New Orleans.

And as for the imagery of myself… let’s just say that if I happen to look dehydrated and hungover from drinking all night in the French Quarter, well, there’s a good reason for that!

  1. I like the short read aloud videos on location, I then went looking for a synopsis of your book which wasn’t too easy to find, it might help to make it more present on your home page, perhaps give your book it’s own page. Good luck with publication. 🙂
