Hannah Stephenson brings together an incredible team of Midwestern writers to talk about what it means to be a writer in the Midwest. This event is part of the book fair at Flyover Fest, and will be held at Wild Goose Creative on Saturday, May 13, from 12-1. This panel, and the book fair events, are free and open to the public.
Hannah Stephenson is the author of In the Kettle, the Shriek (Gold Wake Press), editor of The Ides of March: An Anthology of Ohio Poets (Columbus Creative Cooperative), and a poetry and arts blogger for The Huffington Post.
Ruth Awad’s debut poetry collection Set to Music a Wildfire (forthcoming in 2017) won the 2016 Michael Waters Poetry Prize from Southern Indiana Review Press. She is also the recipient of a 2016 Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award.
Scott Woods is the author of Urban Contemporary History Month (Brick Cave Books) and We Over Here Now (Brick Cave Books) and has been featured multiple times in national press, including multiple appearances on National Public Radio.
Scott Navicky is the author of Humboldt: Or, The Power of Positive Thinking (Chicago Center for Literature and Photography). His work has appeared in Chicago Literati, HYPERtext Magazine, Fiction Writers Review, Necessary Fiction, ZO Magazine, and Loveliest Magazine.
